Australia beats South Africa as Green and Renshaw suffer injuries
Cameron Green's abdominal strain and Matthew Renshaw's wrist injury overshadow Australia's 45-run victory.
Australia coasted to victory in the third ODI against South Africa with Alex Carey scoring 74 and Mitch Marsh 56, setting up a total of 322. Xavier Bartlett took two early wickets and Adam Zampa struck twice in the middle overs as South Africa fell well short under the DLS method after rain ended play.
Australia's victory was overshadowed by injuries to Test squad members Green and Renshaw. Green hurt his abdominal area while batting and did not take the field.
Renshaw copped a fierce blow to his wrist fielding close to the bat. South Africa's Tony de Zorzi also went down with a hamstring.
The injuries compound an already injury-riddled tour ahead of the first Test at Kingsmead next week.
