Liverpool crime drama returns for season 2
The BBC crime drama returns with season two, featuring the same brooding cast and character-driven storytelling that made the first series compelling.
Crime drama This City Is Ours returns to screens for a second series after 17 months away. The show opens with a body-disposal scene and quickly spirals into kidnapping and threats as a cartel's younger brother demands answers.
The acting is excellent across the board, with Shaun "Endeavour" Evans as a new arrival and familiar faces delivering dark, tense drama. A car-wash scene is so tense it borders on unwatchable in the best way.
The series trades on the flawed humanity of its characters, men fretting over their wives' fertility treatment between crimes, rather than glorifying crime or swagger. It is brutal, tense, and oddly lovable.
