Sophie Monk explains why Bardot reunion wasn't possible

Monk cites unresolved conflicts with band members as the reason she skipped the reunion.

Sophie Monk loved Bardot more than anything, but she couldn't rejoin four of her five bandmates for their first reunion shows since 2002. The singers performed at Sydney's Mighty Hoopla festival in February and travelled to London for the event's UK edition, but Monk stayed away.

Sophie Monk says years of public criticism from former members made returning emotionally impossible. One member wrote a book containing things Monk says aren't true.

Another publicly questioned her commitment when she appeared on The Masked Singer Australia. Monk remains close with one bandmate, Sally Polihronas, but the relationship damage ran too deep.

"I wouldn't be respecting myself if I did, from the behaviour through the years," Monk said. She's since found success hosting reality television.
