Spilt Milk festival locked in for five more years in Canberra
Spilt Milk festival locked in for five more years in Canberra through 2030.
Spilt Milk will run in Canberra for another five years after the ACT government struck a new deal with organisers Kick Entertainment. The one-day festival was cancelled in 2024 but returned in December 2025 with 45,000 attendees, including headliners Kendrick Lamar and Doechii.
The December 2025 event pumped an estimated $30.2 million into the ACT economy through hotels, restaurants, bars and accommodation. Since 2016, the festival has generated about $127 million for the region.
Hotel occupancy on festival night hit 95 per cent, a record for the year. This year's edition runs December 12 with Lewis Capaldi and RAYE headlining, plus local artists including DMA'S and Canberra DJs.
The deal ensures the festival stays based in the city where it began.
