Bradman Best felt disrespected by Knights' former manager in contract row

The Knights centre says he was treated unfairly during negotiations with recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan, who has left for Brisbane.

Bradman Best says he felt disrespected by how the Knights handled contract talks while Peter O'Sullivan was their recruitment manager. O'Sullivan has since left Newcastle to join the Brisbane Broncos.

Best explained that his manager tried to reach O'Sullivan multiple times, but the calls often went unanswered. "There's a way to go about things," Best told the SMH.

He holds no real grudge and says he'd shake O'Sullivan's hand if they met. But the 25-year-old centre is now caught between two clubs: the Knights want to keep him, and the Eels are actively chasing him since the free agency window opened on November 1.

Best says he's made no decision yet and wants to sit down with Newcastle to discuss his future.
