Unranked Oklahoma stuns top-ranked Texas with last-second field goal
Unranked Oklahoma defeated top-ranked Texas 27-24 with a 47-yard field goal as time expired, erasing Texas's first loss of the season.
Unranked Oklahoma pulled off a stunning 27-24 upset of top-ranked Texas in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday. Texas led 17-7 at halftime and dominated early, but Oklahoma scored twice in the fourth quarter to overtake them.
Texas quarterback Arch Manning threw two interceptions in the final quarter, including a 42-yard pick-six. Texas had a 52-yard field goal attempt to win with minutes left but missed.
Manning then threw a third fourth-quarter interception to end the game. Oklahoma kicker Tate Sandell drilled the winning 47-yard field goal with nine seconds remaining.
The loss cost Texas the top ranking as both Alabama and Georgia remain undefeated.
