Sebastopol Primary set for $19.58m overhaul if Labor wins state vote
Labor MP Juliana Addison promised $19.58 million to rebuild the school.
Sebastopol Primary's ceiling collapsed, forcing the art room to close for months with no money to fix it. The basketball court is so rough and bumpy it scrapes children's knees when they fall.
The school has had almost no major upgrades since it moved to its current site in 1978. On Wednesday, Wendouree MP Juliana Addison promised $19.58 million to transform the school if Labor wins this month's state election.
School council member Beck Keays welcomed the pledge. The school is growing, starting the year with 92 students and now at 115, so repairs are increasingly urgent.
