Digital billboard planned for busy Ballarat Central corner
Gawk Outdoor has lodged plans for a $150,000 double-sided digital billboard at 104 Skipton Street in Ballarat Central.
Outdoor advertising company Gawk Outdoor is proposing a new electronic billboard at the site of the former Hammonds Paints store on Skipton Street. The sign would stand 6.8 metres high with two advertising faces, each just over 18 square metres.
The north face would display static images on a 30-second digital rotation; the south face would be static. The billboard would operate from 4am to 11:59pm daily.
The $150,000 sign would replace an existing business sign on a grassed portion of the site near the road. Gawk says its electronic billboards around regional Victoria prioritise local businesses as advertisers.
More than 75 per cent of ads go to local business and 15 per cent to government advertising.
