Every player from Fremantle's 2013 grand final loss has backed Justin Longmuir's team to finally win the premiership this Saturday.
Thirteen years after losing to Hawthorn, Fremantle are back in the Grand Final on Saturday. Every member of that 2013 squad has backed Justin Longmuir's team to win the premiership.
Fremantle's 2013 team, led by Ross Lyon, played strong defence. They lost by 15 points.
Lyon's team won the minor premiership in 2015 but never returned to the Grand Final. He was sacked in 2019.
Since then, Fremantle rebuilt with young players including Andy Brayshaw, Hayden Young and Caleb Serong. Lachie Neale was a sub in that 2013 Grand Final and now plays for Brisbane, adding another layer to Saturday's contest.
