Seven Network puts Brisbane broadcast hub up for sale
Seven is selling its Mount Coot-tha facility, a 3.85-hectare site it has owned since 1959 and still uses for flagship news.
Seven Network has listed its Mount Coot-tha broadcasting complex for sale, marking the second major broadcast facility to hit the market in recent weeks. The 3.85-hectare property includes studios, offices, broadcast towers and a helipad.
Nine listed its Queensland broadcast studios in early September. Southern Cross Media, the company formed from a merger of Seven West Media and Southern Cross Austereo earlier this year, says the sale is part of a long-term strategic review.
A spokesperson said the process focuses on positioning the business for sustainable growth. The site was listed by real estate agency Savills with offers due by November 12.
Both broadcaster properties are located in Brisbane, separated by about 500 metres of council-owned bushland.
