Dockers recall McVee for Geelong semi-final
Judd McVee returns to Fremantle's backline for Friday's semi-final against Geelong after an ankle injury sidelined his replacement.
Fremantle defender Judd McVee has been recalled for Friday night's semi-final against Geelong at Optus Stadium. McVee has earned his chance back after being dropped twice in the past month.
Brandon Walker, his replacement, suffered an ankle injury in last Thursday's qualifying final loss to Hawthorn. Walker's injury opened the door for McVee's return.
Coach Justin Longmuir said McVee would be encouraged to trust his instincts and focus on Geelong's dangerous half-forwards. Longmuir was tight-lipped on what other changes could be made.
Players are keen to right some wrongs after the Hawks loss cost them a home preliminary final. The Dockers and Cats have split their two meetings this season, with Fremantle winning round 15 at home.
