McGrath captains Australia in Bangladesh ODI series
McGrath leads Australia's three-match ODI series against Bangladesh starting Friday in Brisbane, filling in for injured captain Sophie Molineux.
The series kicks off in Brisbane on Friday. The 30-year-old allrounder skips the Australian side.
McGrath missed Australia's T20 World Cup win in July even though she was joint vice-captain. McGrath scored 154 runs off 137 balls for South Australia against Victoria in late September.
McGrath said the knock gave her a real boost in confidence after struggling to contribute for recent teams. She made small tweaks to her technique in the off-season.
She stripped her approach back to basics. Bangladesh has never beaten Australia in 11 limited-overs meetings.
Their new coach David Hemp has them hopeful about their chances.
