Bluesfest Byron Bay's touring arm enters liquidation
Bluesfest Tours Pty Ltd entered liquidation on Sept 24. The liquidator says creditors are unlikely to recover any funds.
Bluesfest Tours booked artists for the festival and other Australian gigs. Acts booked included Erykah Badu, The Wailers and Marcus King.
Several Bluesfest Tours events ran on their own from the main festival companies. The main festival companies collapsed around six months earlier.
Creditors include touring artists, the Australian Taxation Office and other government bodies. Liquidator Jason Bettles said early investigation suggests no assets remain to cover debts.
Many Tours-promoted sideshows were cancelled after the 2026 festival itself was scrapped.
