Chery blends Ford Bronco's height with Tesla's silent drive in new SUV
Chery's iCaur SUV combines a Ford Bronco's high driving position with Tesla's quiet electric driving.
Chery Automobile's Dr Su Jun oversees design for the brand. A Ford Bronco and a Tesla Model S shaped the iCaur SUV concept.
Dr Su Jun loved the Bronco's high seating position for better views while driving. He also appreciated the Tesla's quiet, smooth electric experience.
His goal was to "combine these two kinds of things together" in one vehicle. The design team was also influenced by the simplicity and restraint of Apple and Muji products.
The iCaur V25, a mid-size electric SUV, arrives in Australia in early 2027. A larger V27 model will follow.
