2027 Honda Civic Type R gets cooling, brake and seat upgrades in US
Honda revealed updates to the Civic Type R arriving in US dealers this month, with Australia expecting deliveries in 2027.
Honda announced updates to its Civic Type R sports hatchback for the US market, arriving at dealers this month. The changes include a redesigned front bumper for better cooling to the 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, new heated sports seats with better grip upholstery, and improved brake pedal feel through a new spring.
The transmission's rev-matching system is also sharper, and damper settings have been retuned in the car's most aggressive driving mode to reduce bouncing. A new colour called Meteorite Gray Metallic rounds out the updates.
Honda Australia has not confirmed timing for local arrivals but told CarExpert in July it was confident another shipment would arrive in 2027. The last batch of 98 cars had half sold within the first day of order books opening at $85,000 drive-away.
