Photographer Liz Sunshine brings fashion exhibition to Bendigo
A pioneering fashion photographer who worked with Vogue and Cartier is opening an exhibition in Bendigo exploring people's emotional ties to clothes.
Liz Sunshine is believed to have been the first to document people in Australia both at fashion weeks and on streets for 17 years. Liz Sunshine has worked with major brands including Vogue, Cartier and Ralph Lauren.
In 2022, she started asking people how they feel about the clothes they wear and collecting their responses. The exhibition How Fashion Makes Me Feel combines photographs with these words, showing how emotion shapes our relationship with clothing.
It opens in Bendigo from September 12 to 20 as part of the PayPal Australian Fashion Festival. The festival runs 31 events, with many free or low-cost.
