Harry Cunningham joins Adelaide for two-year deal
The 15-year Sydney veteran signed a two-year contract with Adelaide, choosing security over a one-year Swans offer.
Harry Cunningham has been delisted by Sydney and will join Adelaide in the upcoming rookie draft. The 15-year Swans veteran played 233 games after arriving as a 17-year-old from Wagga.
Sydney offered him a one-year contract, but he chose Adelaide's two-year deal for longer security. The deal also includes a path to a coaching role after his playing career ends.
Cunningham impressed in Sydney's recent qualifying final win over Brisbane. He showed he still had plenty to offer.
Cunningham thanked the Swans for 15 years of chances and friendships. He called it his greatest privilege.
He said he was excited to start the next chapter with Adelaide.
