North Wollongong site near train station reportedly sold for $950,000
The out-of-area buyer plans townhouses on land with flood constraints.
A 2087 square metre block at 5-9 Porter Street, North Wollongong, has been sold. The land was listed for sale in early 2026 and is about 80 metres from the train station.
The agent would not say the price, but industry sources told the Illawarra Mercury it was $950,000. The agent said the site's constraints, including flood constraints, did affect the final price.
The buyer is from outside the area and planned to build townhouses on the site. The land sits outside the transport precinct and does not get the developer incentives nearby sites have.
