Steven Nicholson plays 300th game for Mount Clear after rain delays
Steven Nicholson played his 300th senior game for Mount Clear after two decades. Rain forced venue changes.
Steven Nicholson reached his 300th game for Mount Clear after rain and venue changes nearly stopped the celebration. The first day of the match against Wendouree was washed out.
The game moved from Mount Clear to Smythesdale, then to CE Brown Reserve. Nicholson is a 2017-18 Cleary medallist who won a premiership medal before he could legally drive.
He took the wicket of Ryan Wells. Mount Clear lost to Wendouree, but coach Matt Ward said the day was about honouring a player who has done many things for the club.
Nicholson is still active. Ward hopes he plays a couple more seasons.
