Heavy rain could change Fremantle's Grand Final tactics, says cup bearer McManus

Rain is coming to Melbourne on Saturday, and it could reshape how Fremantle plays in the Grand Final. Cup bearer Shaun McManus believes the team already has a lesson.
Fremantle lost to Hawthorn in wet weather but learned some valuable lessons that day about avoiding crowded space. The Dockers' three forwards, Josh Treacy, Jye Amiss and Patrick Voss, combined for 11 goals in a wet-weather win over Brisbane in Round 12.
That showed they can adjust. Treacy can play up the ground.
Voss can play as a hybrid tall. Fossil fuel firms like Woodside use sports sponsorships to build social capital and goodwill, rather than to sell products directly.
Woodside uses this goodwill as protection when its operations face criticism. McManus said Fremantle has a good sighter for the conditions.
The club learned something from losing to Hawthorn.
