Adam Scott one stroke back at 46 chasing first PGA win in six years
The 46-year-old Australian shot six-under 65 in round three. He sits 12-under, one stroke behind the leaders.
Adam Scott is chasing a big milestone at an age when most players have quit. The Australian veteran shot a six-under 65 in Saturday's third round at the Baycurrent Classic in Japan.
Scott now sits at 12-under overall. Scott is one of five golfers behind American leaders Michael Brennan, Zach Bauchou and Jacob Bridgeman by one stroke.
His last PGA Tour win came in February 2020 at the Genesis Invitational. The 46-year-old has played great golf lately.
He finished tied ninth at this year's British Open. He shared second at the BMW PGA Championship in September.
Scott has 14 PGA Tour wins and more than 30 tournament victories worldwide. He has never won in Japan.
