Mercedes EQS sedan claims Australia's longest electric range at 810km
The refreshed Mercedes EQS400 arrives this month at $184,900 with 810km range, the longest of any EV sold in Australia.
Mercedes-Benz's updated EQS sedan lands in Australian showrooms this month with a new entry-level EQS400 model priced from $184,900 before on-road costs. The sedan claims 810 kilometres of range on a single charge, beating the BMW iX3's 805km and Tesla Model 3 Premium's 750km.
The new rear-wheel drive EQS400 costs $35,000 less than the previous cheapest model, the EQS450, which sold for $219,900. The EQS400 uses an 800-volt electrical system that enables faster charging: a 10-minute charge can add up to 320 kilometres of range.
The car accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 6.2 seconds and comes with new Digital Light headlights and air suspension.
