Nick Daicos adds second Copeland Trophy to record Brownlow haul
Nick Daicos, 23, won his second Copeland Trophy and set a record 47 Brownlow votes.
The midfielder dominated Collingwood's awards night on Friday, polling 519 votes to claim the Copeland Trophy for a second time. Nick Daicos also set a new record with 47 Brownlow votes, becoming just the fifth player to win the Brownlow, AFL Players' MVP and AFLCA champion player award in one season.
Daicos now matches his father Peter's tally of two Copeland Trophies, won in 1982 and 1988. Across 2026 he led the entire AFL in disposals with 797 and score involvements with 206, while averaging 10.8 contested possessions, 6.6 inside 50s and 5.7 clearances per game.
Older brother Josh finished second with 365 votes and won the R.T. Rush Trophy.
Dan Houston's fourth-place finish surprised many given the speculation around his future.
