Visitors came from all Australian states and territories, and from overseas. The festival beat top events.
These included Vivid Sydney, Canberra's Floriade, Melbourne's Moomba Festival, and the Deni Ute Muster. The airshow showed rare historic aircraft.
It had the Southern Hemisphere's biggest gathering of Mustangs, Spitfires and P-40s from the preservation era. A 13-aircraft formation was the biggest in Australian airshow history.
It was a real showstopper. Organisers say the event brought millions of dollars in economic benefit to the region.
