John Goodman debuts 90kg transformation at film premiere
John Goodman, 74, stepped out at a Los Angeles film premiere with visible weight loss after quitting alcohol in 2007.
Goodman, 74, and his wife Anna Beth, 57, appeared together at a Los Angeles film premiere for the comedy Digger, starring Tom Cruise. Goodman wore a classic black suit; his wife wore a deep purple gown.
The couple will celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary in November. Goodman began his transformation in 2007 when he quit alcohol, then later hired a personal trainer and changed his eating habits.
He went from about 181 kilograms down to shedding 90 kilograms. In interviews, he has said he simply wanted to "live life better".
In Digger, Goodman plays US President Compson.
