Point Of Law wins Melbourne Cup as Bec and Chris Judd celebrate

Point Of Law, part-owned by Bec and Chris Judd, won the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday in a decisive final furlong.

Point Of Law swept to victory in the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, with Bec and Chris Judd watching from the Crown marquee as the horse they part-own exploded away from the field in the final furlong. The imported gelding, formerly owned by King Charles III and trained by Ciaron Maher, won easily.

The Judds bought into the horse recently through friends and also had a second runner in the race, James J Braddock, which finished seventh. "I am in the rare position of not actually knowing what to do, I just can't believe it," Bec said moments after the result.

"I don't think anything like this will ever happen again." She was dressed in an eye-catching strapless multicoloured dress and cancelled her flight to Sydney to celebrate.
