Aman Rosa Alpina opens in the Dolomites with 51 rooms
A luxury hotel in the Dolomites replaced a Michelin-starred retreat. It built a new 51-room Aman resort in 2023.
Aman Rosa Alpina sits in San Cassiano, a tiny Ladin-speaking village in the Dolomites. The hotel opened in 2023 after Hugo Pizzinini partnered with Aman owner Vladislav Doronin.
Doronin had stayed there as a guest. Pizzinini's family had run the site for decades.
Aman Rosa Alpina replaces the previous Rosa Alpina boutique hotel. That hotel had a three-star Michelin restaurant.
It drew celebrities and local elites. The new 51-room resort keeps the forest setting.
It trades rustic comfort for modern style. Each room has a fireplace and stone-tiled bathroom.
There's a 20m infinity pool, Finnish sauna, spa and two indoor pools. The restaurant ditched fine dining for relaxed Italian cooking.
Entry-level rooms start at about 2800 dollars a night.
