Brad Pitt reprises Cliff Booth in Tarantino-Fincher sequel
Tarantino revealed 17 minutes of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, the Brad Pitt sequel arriving theatrically November 25.
Quentin Tarantino surprised AFI Fest attendees Friday by screening the first 17 minutes of his new film, a follow-up to 2019's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brad Pitt returns as stuntman Cliff Booth, the role that won him an Oscar in the original.
David Fincher directed from Tarantino's script. The film jumps to 1977, a decade after the first story, and explores Booth working as a fixer and bartender in Hollywood.
The supporting cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Netflix is releasing the film theatrically in IMAX on November 25, with the streaming premiere set for December 23.
Fincher cut 60 pages from Tarantino's 230-page script. The final runtime is around 2½ hours.
