Robinson gifts premiership ring to injured Watson
Trent Robinson handed his premiership ring to Connor Watson, who missed the grand final after failing to overturn a head injury assessment.
Roosters coach Trent Robinson gave his premiership ring to Connor Watson after Sunday's 19-18 grand final win. Watson missed the decider when he couldn't overturn a category one head injury assessment during the week.
Robinson walked to Watson straight after receiving his own ring and said, "Thanks for everything you've done for the club, sorry you couldn't play, but this is your reward." It is Robinson's fourth grand final title, and his third time giving his ring to a player who missed the match.
Robinson gave his ring to prop Lindsay Collins in 2018 and lock Zane Tetevano in 2019. Robinson has won every grand final he's coached.
