Extradition advances 2024 Sydney kidnapping case
A 31-year-old was extradited from Victoria and charged with kidnapping, sexual assault and related offences in a case dating to April 2024.
Police say a woman, then aged 36, was forced into a Toyota Camry by unknown men in Epping on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Officers found her the next day in Sydney's west.
The woman said she had been drugged and sexually assaulted before going to hospital. The 31-year-old man arrested in Victoria faces charges including taking or detaining a person with intent to ransom and aggravated sexual assault in company.
Two other men aged 29 and 37 were already charged and dealt with in court. Police are still working on Strike Force Held.
