Pinocchio's Pizza is an Illawarra institution that celebrated its 20th anniversary in March. Pinocchio's Pizza shut down without warning last week, leaving staff without notice.
A prospective buyer was in talks to rescue the struggling business but withdrew after examining its finances. The buyer decided the business was not viable.
The original owners got the business back. Within days, new ownership was announced on Facebook.
The new owner has promised to rehire staff and reopen all three locations: Albion Park, Dapto, and Shellharbour. No reopening date has been set yet.
