Australian Crawl reunites three original members for first time in over 40 years
Australian Crawl's three original members reunited at Red Hot Summer Tour for their first performance together in more than 40 years.
Ten thousand people danced in the sun at Berry Showground on Saturday for the Red Hot Summer Tour. The festival sold out fast.
The lineup included Ella Hooper, Boom Crash Opera, Vika and Linda, Eskimo Joe, Birds of Tokyo, Men at Work, and Australian Crawl. The standout moment: Australian Crawl's three original members, James Reyne, Simon Binks, and David Reyne, took the stage together.
It was their first performance together in more than 40 years. Boom Crash Opera's Dale Ryder told the crowd that their hit song Onion Skin had bought each band member a house.
The all-ages event drew families with young children, couples travelling from Jervis Bay, and one bride celebrating her hen's night. Long-time festival goers and first-timers alike praised the lineup.
Everyone loved the venue and the chance to see so many classic Australian bands in one ticket.

Why it mattersReunions of bands from the 1980s are rare and often final. This moment mattered to fans who grew up with these songs and to musicians who rarely get to revisit that era together.
AustraliaThe Red Hot Summer Tour is an Australian festival tradition, and this lineup brought some of the country's most significant rock acts back to the stage together.
