Samantha Armytage admits she went on a few dates with Michael Usher

Armytage, 50, made the confirmation on Kyle Sandilands Live after years of press rumours.

Samantha Armytage has confirmed she went on a few dates with journalist Michael Usher more than a decade ago. Armytage made the admission on Kyle Sandilands Live on Tuesday morning.

Max, 19, is Michael's son and an intern on the show. Max asked about old press reports linking her and his father.

Rumours linked the pair in 2015, and again in 2017. Neither of them has ever addressed those claims.

A producer joked that Max was looking for a mother figure, but both quickly shut that down. Samantha replied that Max already has a mother, who used to work at Channel Nine.

Samantha is launching a new interview podcast, Act Two, with the first episode on Wednesday.
