Kelly Clarkson clashes with Brooklyn shop over a singing bird and its price
Art of Play says Clarkson spent only five minutes there, asking about a bird it says is not for sale.
Kelly Clarkson had an online feud with Art of Play, a Brooklyn shop, over the weekend. Clarkson wrote on X that she was looked at as if she could not afford it.
The shop replied on Instagram that she had asked about buying 'Molly', a singing and dancing bird automaton. Art of Play said Molly is attached to the wall and is not for sale.
Clarkson hit back on Instagram Stories, calling the shop rude and a liar. The shop later said Clarkson was in the store for only five minutes.
The shop said a Seattle artist would be willing to sell a near-identical twin of Molly for $15,000. The shop also offered a German-made bird for about $2,000, but Clarkson did not stay long enough to see it.
