Emma Memma visits WA kids before Telethon fundraiser
Emma Memma visited children with hearing loss at Teach, Speak, Hear, a Telethon beneficiary, two weeks before the fundraiser.
Emma Memma came early to Perth and visited Teach, Speak, Hear, a Telethon beneficiary. Five-year-old Imogen Duffy, who wears hearing aids, met her hero Emma Memma.
Imogen said Emma makes her feel 'happy, brave, kind, smart, and loved'. Emma is bringing her biggest team for the October 17-18 Telethon weekend.
The team includes more dancers who also sign. Emma's style uses Auslan and includes everyone.
This helps kids like Imogen feel seen and supported. Parents say their kids gain confidence.
They see mainstream entertainment that includes deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The visit shows what's coming.
