Woman found dead in bin at Brisbane unit building
An unidentified woman was declared dead after being found in a bin at a unit building in Brisbane's Kangaroo Point on Friday morning.
Police received reports of a body found unresponsive at a building on Lambert Street just after 11:50am on Friday. Emergency teams arrived and declared the woman dead at the scene.
Around 1pm, police declared a crime scene and cordoned off the underground car park entrance where a garbage truck was positioned. Officers conducted one-on-one interviews with residents of the apartment tower.
Forensic officers in protective suits entered the car park shortly after 3pm. Police told reporters it was too early to say whether the death was suspicious.
The investigation remains ongoing.
