Man in critical condition after dog attack at Brisbane park
A 37-year-old suffered serious lacerations to his face and arms when attacked by two dogs believed to be pitbulls.
The man was running at Seventh Brigade Park in Chermside about 6.15pm on Friday when two dogs attacked him, sustaining significant lacerations to his face and arms and was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in critical condition.
Polair helped locate the dogs on Friday night; one was captured and euthanised, and the second was found at a property in Wavell Heights on Saturday morning. Witnesses reported hearing a woman yelling a dog's name in a nearby street around the time of the attack.
The incident did not stop Chermside's weekly 5km parkrun on Saturday, though runners were asked not to bring dogs and to keep small children close.
