Maitland gets $1.5bn business precinct promising 10,000 jobs
EXP Capital is building Dalmore Park, a $1.5 billion mixed-use development 7km from Central Maitland on 150 hectares.
Dalmore Park will be a business and innovation precinct combining commercial, health, research, industrial, advanced manufacturing, retail, hotel, and sports facilities. The site sits directly opposite Maitland Airport in Rutherford.
The project is estimated to create more than 8,370 jobs over its 20-year development, then support more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs once complete, contributing about $1 billion annually to the Hunter's economy.
Maitland is one of New South Wales's fastest-growing regional areas with a population over 100,000, forecast to reach more than 160,000 by 2046. EXP Capital says construction could start within three months of approval, likely in late 2027, with Stage 1 completed in 2029.
The development includes on-site renewable energy, creek restoration for biodiversity, and a central green corridor.
