True North is a 36-passenger adventure cruise that sails along Western Australia's Kimberley coast for about $21,000 per week, landing on remote beaches, flying guests over reefs by helicopter, and reaching waterfalls that larger ships cannot access.
One in four passengers return; 1,800 people have sailed four or more times, and the most devoted passenger has completed 62 cruises and will turn 90 next year. Passenger Lyn McLeod, 76 and retired, has done five cruises: "We just didn't go anywhere else.
We were completely happy to forgo holidays in between just to save up and get back on a True North ship." She skipped other holidays to afford repeated trips.
