Woman convicted after sending intimate images to Crime Stoppers
Amanda Taylor, 34, pleaded guilty to sending graphic images to Crime Stoppers NSW when she couldn't reach police.
Amanda Taylor tried to report an alleged sexual assault but couldn't get through to police. On August 19 and 22, she submitted graphic intimate images seeking police attention.
The images distressed civilian call handlers who process public submissions. Taylor was arrested on September 3.
In Wollongong Local Court on October 27, she pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to offend. Judge Geraldine Beattie acknowledged Taylor's mental health struggles but noted her behaviour caused real distress to staff.
She was convicted and placed on a six-month Commonwealth bond.
