1907 cottage poised to break Ravenswood $800k record
A 1907 cottage in Ravenswood is expected to break the suburb's $800,000 property price record when it sells.
A 1907 cottage on Ravenswood Road is set to become the suburb's priciest home when it sells. The renovated property sits on nearly an acre of landscaped gardens and is expected to easily break the current $800,000 record.
The owners are downsizing after many years of maintaining the cherished home. Launceston's median dwelling price has jumped 13.5 per cent in the past year, hitting $676,000.
But the pace of sales has cooled: homes under $750,000 that once sold within days are now taking about a week. 'It still is quick, but it has slightly softened,' agent Riley Turner said.
