Carlton crushes Richmond by 55 points in AFLW round seven
Carlton dominated Richmond 76-21 on Friday, ending a two-week losing streak in commanding fashion.
After two weeks without a win, Carlton returned to form with a demolition of Richmond at Ikon Park. The Blues led from the start and were never threatened, kicking 11 goals to Richmond's three.
Richmond managed just one point in the second half as Carlton's defence shut down the Tigers completely. Erone Fitzpatrick starred for Carlton with three goals, 16 disposals and five tackles.
Abbie McKay accumulated 27 disposals, while debutant Tayla McMillan added a goal in her first AFLW game. Richmond's day worsened with injuries to key players: midfielder Monique Conti (Achilles), Baia Pugh (collarbone) and forward Aoibhin Cleary (ankle).
