So You Are wins St Leger Stakes, heads to Melbourne Cup
Bjorn Baker's So You Are won the St Leger Stakes and will target the Melbourne Cup.
The $3.30 favourite So You Are beat Tempesti by three-quarters of a length in Saturday's St Leger Stakes at Randwick with Tommy Berry in the saddle. The win is the horse's third straight victory.
Just before racing, the horse was found missing a lead bag and had to be resaddled, during which he pushed Baker's assistant. The horse recovered from the disruption to perform well.
Bjorn Baker confirmed the Melbourne Cup is the goal and said he is keen to see the stayer over two miles.
