Cameron Munster won't rule out Sydney move
The 32-year-old Melbourne five-eighth says he may leave the Storm, citing uncertainty over Craig Bellamy's coaching future.
Cameron Munster has opened the door to leaving Melbourne, refusing to rule out a move to Sydney when he enters the open market on November 1. The two-time premiership winner is contracted to the Storm until the end of 2027 but can negotiate with rivals in three weeks.
Munster said Melbourne's uncertainty over who will replace coach Craig Bellamy influenced his decision to test his options. The club offered him a two-year deal worth around $750,000 a year, which he said felt like a significant pay cut.
He won't return to Queensland despite being captain there, saying he refuses to block the path of a young playmaker at the state's four NRL clubs. Munster, 32, told reporters: "I'm not ruling out leaving.
I want to challenge myself."
