Singleton school wins court approval for $15m campus expansion
A court approved the $15 million expansion of Australian Christian College at Singleton after three years of legal battles.
The Australian Christian College at Singleton can now build a new two-storey classroom building and add parking after winning its court battle. The expansion will double the school's student capacity to 700 across kindergarten to year 12.
Earlier rejections focused on traffic and parking concerns. The court found the existing informal arrangements were operating safely.
A Singleton bypass opening toward the end of 2026 is expected to reduce southbound traffic on the New England Highway by 70 per cent in the morning and 66 per cent in the afternoon. The school first applied three years ago.
