Man walks out of lion enclosure unharmed at Canberra zoo
A man entered the lion enclosure at National Zoo & Aquarium on Sunday and was safely removed with no injuries.
ACT Police responded to the National Zoo & Aquarium around 1:30 pm on Sunday 27 September after a man entered an animal enclosure. Zoo and police staff moved quickly to get him out safely.
The man was taken to hospital for assessment but neither he nor any animals were hurt. A zoo spokesperson praised the fast response from both staff and officers.
The incident was resolved without harm or danger to anyone on site.
