Crime figures attack businessman over infrastructure project role
Crime figures attacked businessman Rob Cammarano over his stake in a $15.4 billion infrastructure project.
Rob Cammarano's home in Adelaide was shot at. His Unley Rd car wash was destroyed by fire.
His accountant's office at Payneham was firebombed. Cammarano claims crime figures are trying to force him out of Career Boss.
The company recruits workers for the $15.4 billion Torrens to Darlington infrastructure project. Police taskforce Operation Endurance is investigating.
They believe senior underworld figures are directing the attacks. Cammarano's lawyer raised the claims with the state government in September.
Career Boss's contract was suspended after the claims became public in October. The Torrens to Darlington project team investigated the claims.
They found no evidence of crime involvement. ICAC will now examine the government's handling of the claims.
