Fernvale woman charged with partner's murder after car struck him
A 45-year-old Fernvale woman has been charged with murder. She allegedly drove a car into her 50-year-old partner.
A 50-year-old man was hit by a Holden Commodore station wagon outside his Fernvale home on Sunday evening, shortly before 6pm. Police say his 45-year-old partner, Lacey-Jay Bullock, drove into him on purpose during an argument.
Neighbours said he was trying to stop her from driving away when he was hit. Bradly suffered a fractured skull and serious injuries.
A security guard with medical training started CPR at the scene. Paramedics and a CareFlight helicopter crew also tried to revive him.
But the man could not be saved. Detective Inspector Michael Manago confirmed the couple were known to police.
Police had visited the address before about domestic and family violence issues. Bullock was charged with murder as a domestic homicide.
She was also banned from driving. She was held in custody and must appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
