Shea Cunningham joins Albury Tigers as netball coach for 2027
Cunningham departs Wangaratta after three years to take the head coaching role at Albury Tigers, closer to home.
Shea Cunningham has left her job as Wangaratta coach to lead Albury Tigers in 2027. Cunningham spent three years at Wangaratta and steered five netball sides into finals during that time, but the travel from Albury to Wangaratta eventually wore her down.
The Tigers finished 2026 winless, but Cunningham sees potential in the young squad and views the rebuild as an exciting challenge. Cunningham already knows some of the players through her work with the Albury Netball Association.
Cunningham takes over from co-coaches Amy Platt and Viv Jones and plans to set new standards and rebuild the program's culture.
