Sydney woman sells $22,000 wedding package on Airtasker after cancellation
A 23-year-old Sydney woman cancelled her December wedding but is selling the entire $22,000 package of booked vendors on Airtasker.
The Haymarket woman booked the Grand Banquet Room at Curzon Hall for December 20, 2026. The woman also hired a photographer, videographer, stylist and horse-drawn carriage.
When the wedding fell through after a year of planning, she posted the whole package on Airtasker. The move helped her avoid losing the money.
The woman offered to help another couple use the vendors and assume the deposits. Most of her vendors support the idea.
Her family sees it as smart thinking. Airtasker chief executive Tim Fung said the move was unusual but fit the platform's spirit of creative solutions.
